Everything We're Made Of
There are 5 Levels (ingredients) of clinically proven skin brightening ingredients in the skin brightening regimen.
Our skin brightening products are formulated to slow down melanin production and induce mild skin peeling to help resurface a fresher and lighter skin layer.
All ingredients are clinically proven to reduce or to temporarily inhibit melanin production, thus continued use is critical for on‐going results. These ingredients do not damage melanin or de‐ pigment your skin.
It’s a temporary, gradual process, and on‐going treatments are necessary to see and maintain results. You can always reverse the skin brightening results simply by stopping usage.
This is the main brightening ingredient in our daily home use cream. Regu‐fade is not included the spray formula for the booth. It is highly effective but does not lend itself to a liquid formulation, it must be used in a cream. However, it is the perfect ingredient to work synergistically with the booth formula to substantially increase skin brightening effects.
Reduces melanin production
REGU®‐FADE evens and brightens skin tone using pure, nature‐identical resveratrol. Resveratrol is a potent antioxidant found in red grapes and associated with various health benefits. Regu‐Fade works to quickly reduce the production of melanin
REGU®‐FADE helps reduce the appearance of skin pigmentation as demonstrated in clinical and in vitro studies, resulting in noticeably brighter, younger‐looking skin.
It uses pure nature‐identical trans‐resveratrol that is free from pesticides and emodin, a potential concern with other forms of resveratrol. Resveratrol is a known potent antioxidant found in red grapes and associated with various health benefits
The efficacy profile of Niacinamide PC comprises a broad range of proven skin benefits: Niacinamide PC has skin brightening, anti‐wrinkle, anti‐acne and skin barrier strengthening properties.
Niacinamide belongs to the family of the B vitamins.
Niacinamide PC has multiple beneficial effects on the skin:
· It improves skin moisturization
· Increases the keratin synthesis and stimulates filaggrin and involucrin proteins
· Improves the appearance of ageing skin by stimulating new fibroblasts and collagen secretion
· Reduce the appearance of acne
· Imparts a more even skin tone
Alpha Arbutin does not de‐pigment your skin, destroy melanin. It works by temporarily inhibiting a process known as tyrosinase, which is neccesary for melanocytes to produce melanin.
By using Alpha Arbutin, your skin produces less melanin, therefore over time, you turn lighter. Alpha Arbutin is harmless, and is completely reversible and is a good alternative to many other brighteners or depigmenters such as Hydroquinone and Monobenzone.
You must use Alpha Arbutin consistently to get brighter, and use it occasionally to maintain a shade. In order to reverse the effects, you can always stop usage of Alpha Arbutin.
Licorice root extract is a common ingredient found in many skin‐brightening cosmeceuticals
The main component of licorice root is glabridin. Glabridin has been shown to prevent UVB‐induced pigmentation and to inhibit tyrosinase activity. The depigmenting efficacy of glabridin has been shown by various researchers to be greater than that of hydroquinone. Licorice root is commonly used in Japanese cultures for skin brightening.
MULBERRY ROOT EXTRACT
Another skin brightening extract from Japan, mulberry extract (or sometimes dubbed as paper mulberry) comes from the skin of a dried out mulberry. The tyrosinase inhibiting quality of mulberry root is not only one of the most potent, but most gentle. It is known to be soothing and not cause any irritation, even in high concentrations.
The skin brightening effect from mulberry extract was proven in a study which did a comparison of topical mulberry with a 10% kojic acid concentration and a 5.5% hydroquinone product. The skin that was treated with mulberry showed a 50% decrease in tyrosinase compared to the kojic acid and hydroquinone, and the concentration of the mulberry extract was 0.396%.

Vitamin C in the ascorbyl form has been tested extensively and is reported to interfere with pigment synthesis at various oxidative steps of melanin production. It causes skin brightening by interacting with copper ions at the tyrosinase active site.
In addition to skin brightening, other advantages of Vitamin C include not only antioxidant effects but some studies also demonstrate anti‐inflammatory and photoprotective properties.
